A WALK ON THE BEACH
Our most favorite place for Don and I to walk was...the beach!
And when in Maine, ...we walked the beach daily!
So...there was either much to take in within the silence and panorama...or
sharing ideas and just enjoying the fresh air and exercise...but mostly,
Don loved to be playful, and we would sing a little scripture verse he had learned as a boy!
The verses were sung as a "round!"
This always brought us to joy and laughter !!!
"The Angel of the Lord, encampeth 'round about those that fear Him and delivers them...
O' taste and see... how Good is the Lord!
Blessed the one who trusteth in Him!"

Blessed is the one who trusteth in Him!"
The Scriptures for today's reading in the Acts of the Apostles, brought me back to that time frame years ago
when Don and I walked the beach together and sang our prayer!
Today, as I read the account of sacred Scripture about
the release of Saint Peter from the chains that bound him in jail
and the miraculous rescue by the Angel of God,
there was a realization of God's saving action in my own life !
"Now I know for certain that the Lord sent His Angels and and rescued me from ( Herod) my enemy "...
"I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears !"
A deliverance, so real, has been happening and continuing for years!
Jesus has continually been with me ... to deliver me from all my fears !
" Walls and mounds of debris have been uncovered and removed !"
A deliverance from the debris intended to cover and stifle my soul,
has been happening throughout the years ...
A miraculous deliverance from a prison, so to speak!
That little prayer request from the past, our song sung together years ago in moments of Joy,
was being answered by our loving Father, GOD!!!
And the Holy Spirit showed me "today " through the readings of His Word
and the example of Peter's deliverance !
HE gave me the link of the Scriptures from this day's
reading ,of His ever abiding Presence!
"Taste and see how Good is the Lord,
happy the one who trusted in Him !"
"Rejoice always , pray constantly,
Give Thanks in all circumstances,
for this is the will of GOD in Christ JESUS
FOR YOU! "
