GOD IS ALL IN ALL...Fr.Thomas Keating

God Is All In All

                                Contemplative Outreach

I do not know how it works,
but when a group of like-minded people
committed to the trans formative process are together,
the force of the energy is certainly up a number of decibels higher.
You do not have anything to do but sit still,
and let your mind be quiet.
Know that God's word is spoken fully only in silence.
Be still, and you will know, not by the knowledge
of the mind, but by the knowledge of the heart,
who God is and who you are.

Thomas Keating,  "God is All in All"

MY SACO RIVER STORY

THE RIVER OF LIFE

Nature speaks to me ...God's creation speaks to me of  an eternally loving God, Who never stops creating ; He is not a static entity!
There is a process of God's Creation...unending... not only a cycle of life,
but an everlasting supply of life flowing into an Eternity of being..
and we are all in  this flow of creation moving forward endlessly...

My Saco River Story

Don, my husband, grew up being a Boy Scout for most of his childhood
and became a Boy Scout Leader, bringing our sons along the same route.
As a family, most of our early vacations were turned toward camping
and travelling  the states.
On one of our excursion's,coming back home through the mountains from Northern Maine,
I happened upon something very interesting !
From the upper side of a mountain and peeking out of the ledge stone
was a small length of a water pipe.
Next to the water pipe was a sign,
"the beginning of the Saco River!"
The amount of water flowing from that small water pipe was that of an ordinary home faucet !
A small beginning for the Saco River we knew very well !
The River that flowed into the Ocean,
The River that gave us fish,
The River we camped along and swam and took our canoe trips,
The River that took our boat into the deep, seemingly unending Ocean!

WE ARE..."THE RIVER OF LIFE ! "

THE RIVER OF LIFE

We are a River of Life!

Water is an essential element in our lives.
Each one of us carries within our body 90% of water content.
That is a lot of water!
In our mothers womb, we were floating in water for nine months before our birth.
At our Baptism,Grace,in the symbolic form of water, was poured out upon us as we
received the Holy Spirit into our souls to cleanse away the Original Sin
of disobedience from our ancestors.

We are a River of Life! We have that Life of Grace within us...
You have that Grace within you!  Christ lives within you...He lives and moves
and has His Being within you.

Jesus ,the Christ, entered into the Jordan River to cleanse away all the sins of mankind,
not just symbolically. He  entered and took upon Himself, a willingness to suffer for
each one of  God's children, you and me!

We are a River of Life!  Filled with Grace!

Christ saved us, that we may allow  those Graces to flow in and through us, the Church!

The Church is a Living stream of Grace...ebbing and flowing...a living
Stream of Grace from it's Presence  of Jesus and the Holy Spirit within !

Flow River Flow!
Flow over  me..
O' Living Water, poured out for me ..
O' Living Water flow over me.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES

AKITA 1973;  AMSTERDAM 1945-1956;  FATIMA 1917

What do these places have in common?
These countries are places where the Mother of God ,the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared,
giving special messages to those seers to whom she appeared. Through the many years and many apparitions and messages of our Blessed Mother there has been a theme message repeated...Pray...Pray...Pray...and a special request given for each generation.
At the Cross, Jesus had given His mother to John and to each one of us, when He said,
"this is your Mother ...and Mother, this is your son."
Jesus would like to allow us to hear  and be guided by His blessed Mother's Voice in these current times!
In 1973 Sister Agnes in Akita, Japan, was enveloped in a"brilliant light" during her adoration time and the statue of Our Lady of All Nations came to life in front of her saying,
"Jesus is truly alive in the Eucharist!"

Our Lady then asked to be known as "Co-Redemptrix,  Mediatrix and Advocate".

I MUST BECOME A CHILD AGAIN...

I MUST BECOME A CHILD AGAIN

I must become a Child again
to let God 's  Freedom reign...
where there's no fear nor selfishness
nor sin again to stain.
I must become a Child again
to glide along with Thee...
In Joy of heart, the Spirit is set free!
No guilt,  no shame to  weigh me down,
my heart in Yours as One.
I must become a Child  again,
A new Life is begun!

A Visit...

These following words came as I sat at my adoration time...
"Church!"
"Do not run away!
You are the living Body of Christ
Stay your ground
Fight against the evil brought to Light!
You are the hands, the feet, the heart and the mind of Christ.
Jesus is the Head of the Body-
Do not abandon Him."

OUR TIME OF VISITATION
                by Peter Herbeck
(published in the RENEWAL  MINISTRIES, Oct. newsletter)

One morning during Mass, right after Communion,
I sensed the Lord telling me to write down in my journal
the following:
"The days ahead will be marked by growing chaos and confusion.
I am coming to purify my Church. I am about to bring down the idols
that hold my people in bondage;
I will expose the hypocrisy of the mighty and the strong,
both in the Church and in the world."

Peter continues...
"It is important for us to understand Jesus' intent. He
doesn't come to humiliate or to destroy; He comes to save.
St. Peter tells us that judgement begins with the house of
God. Jesus is purifying His Church for the sake of the
salvation of the world. The Church is the hope of the world,
the sacrament of salvation, the light of the world.
When the Church is trapped in sin, her light goes dim and her salt goes flat.

We have nothing to fear if we put our hope in Him.
It's not our job to secure all the potential consequences
that may transpire from a radical response to Jesus at this time.
Our job is to obey and to entrust everything to His
mercy and love, and to the protection and intercession of Our Lady.

Jesus said,"I am the light of the world, he who follows me
will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (John 8:12)

Even in the greatest darkness, we can walk in the Light.

GATHER US IN...

THE THREE O'CLOCK HOUR

 Matt 10:27
"What I say to you in the darkness speak in the light, says the lord;
What you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops!"

The alarm clock had been set for 7 a.m.
Feeling tired at bedtime,I sought an extra hours sleep.
However, I was awakened much earlier this morning.
As I laid there, a prayer was offered for anyone needing a prayer.
Our Franciscan monks had taught us that one Hail Mary could save a life at any moment,
and prayer is especially needed during the night hours when a person may be in distress.

Looking at the clock, the time was around 3:30 a.m.
I heard a whispered voice speak these words...
"I  GATHER  IN..ALL"

My prayer has been for the well being and welcoming of those who are refugees.
Those families who have left their countries seeking asylum and safety in another area.

1 Peter 4:8-11
...put your gifts at the service of one another,
each in the measure he/ she has received.
The one who speaks is to deliver the message...
the one who serves is to do it with the strength
provided by God.
Thus, in all of you, God is to be glorified
through Jesus Christ

Often , we sing a song  within the celebration of the Mass called

"GATHER US IN "

Here in this place a new light is streaming,
now is the darkness vanished away,
See in this space our fears and our dreamings,
brought here to you in the light of this day.
Gather us in- the lost and forsaken,
Gather us in- the blind and the lame;
Call to us now and we shall awaken,
we shall arise at the sound of our name.

We are the young  -our lives are a mystery,
we are the old -who yearn for your face,
We have been sung throughout  all of history
called to be light to the whole human race.
Gather us in- the rich and the haughty,
Gather us in -the proud and the strong;
Give us a heart so meek and so lowly.
Give us the courage to enter the song.
